Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On further improvement of the system for improving the material support of participants and veterans of the Second World War, as well as support for lonely elderly and persons with disabilities” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution:

war veterans of 1941–1945, former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps and citizens who worked during the blockade of the city of Leningrad, as well as lonely elderly and disabled people in need of outside care, instead of food products and hygiene products delivered free of charge, a monthly additional payment in a one size of basic estimated value (300 thousand soums);

veterans of the war of 1941-1945 and former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps, and citizens who worked during the blockade of the city of Leningrad, instead of the necessary clothes and shoes delivered free of charge, compensation is introduced for the purchase of clothes, annually paid in August in 15 sizes of basic estimated value (4 million 500 thousand soums).

At the same time, the additional payment is made on the basis of information about the lonely elderly or persons with disabilities who need outside care, provided by the Agency for the Development of Medical and Social Services, the organization responsible for assigning pensions and benefits.
