During the discussions, the guests were provided with detailed information on the new edition of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, reform initiatives under the “Uzbekistan — 2030” strategy, institutional changes in parliamentary operations, and the adoption of modern approaches to legislative work.
Gao Xiang emphasized that the relations built on mutual trust and friendship between the leaders of the two countries play a key role in the steady development of Uzbek-Chinese ties. He noted that regular contacts between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Xi Jinping of China exemplify this commitment.
According to the delegation head, under President Mirziyoyev’s leadership, Uzbekistan has acquired a new profile in recent years: the economy shows rapid growth, citizens’ well-being is steadily improving, and the country’s international standing is strengthening. The reforms undertaken clearly demonstrate that state policy prioritizes the interests of the people.
Gao Xiang also highlighted that during the formation of the “New Uzbekistan,” bilateral relations have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Special attention was given to deepening parliamentary and party dialogue, combating poverty, anti-corruption efforts, and exchanging experience in the digital and green economy sectors.
The parties also stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in international organizations and multilateral formats, including the UN, SCO, and the “China — Central Asia” initiative.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chinese side expressed gratitude for Uzbekistan’s support in successfully organizing the second political dialogue of the “China — Central Asia” parties held in November 2025.
Both sides agreed to continue consistently developing mutually beneficial cooperation at all levels.
