Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 April 2021, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev and Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug visited the National Children’s Medical Center in Tashkent.
The center, worth more than US$130 million, was built with the support of the Republic of Korea on the basis of a project by the Baum Corporation and commissioned in 2020.
During the visit, brief information was provided on the activities of this pediatric institution specializing in high-tech medical services. It has the ability to perform more than 1,500 unique surgical operations per year.
The four-storey medical building is designed for 280 beds, and the polyclinic can receive up to 250 patients a day. The center is equipped with magnetic resonance imaging, multispiral computed tomography, DNA analyzer and technologies that allow early detection of oncological diseases.
More than 100 doctors and nurses underwent training in South Korea to work at the center.
The equipment for surgical procedures is equipped with special cameras so that other hospitals and higher education institutions can follow the operations online.
The guests got acquainted with the conditions in the clinic, visited the situation center and talked with specialists.
