Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the State Statistics Committee, the resident population of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of 1 July 2022 amounted to 35.6 millionpeople, having increased by 332,100 people since the beginning of this year.

Resident population by region:

Republic of Karakalpakstan – 1.96 million people

Andijan region – 3.28 million people

Bukhara region – 1.99 million people

Jizzakh region – 1.45 million people

Kashkadarya region – 3.44 million people

Navoi region – 1.04 million people

Namangan region – 2.95 million people

Samarkand region – 4.07 million people

Surkhandarya region – 2.77 million people

Syrdarya region – 887,100 people

Tashkent region – 2.96 million people

Fergana region – 3.93 million people

Khorezm region – 1.93 million people

Tashkent city – 2.91 million people
