Over 7,000 apartments in Syrdarya region completely restored the supply of natural gas

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Energy and the organizations it supervises have taken the necessary measures to restore gas supply, which was disrupted as a result of the breakthrough of the dam of the Sardoba reservoir and the subsequent flood.

As a result of the flood, 66 km of gas pipelines in Sardoba and Mirzaabad districts were damaged, as well as 47 gas distribution devices and 7,550 household gas cylinders. As a result, gas supply interruptions occurred for 12 thousand 60 consumers, including 6 thousand 865 households that supply natural gas, and 5 thousand 195 households using liquefied gas.

Khududgaz Syrdarya involved more than 50 specialists, as well as 45 vehicles, including 6 vehicles and specially equipped Isuzi vehicles - 23 units and 16 Gazelle - in the measures to eliminate the damage caused.

Also, for the restoration work, a stock of the necessary equipment and materials was created, including pipes (7.0 km), gas distribution equipment (25 units), gas cylinders (55 units), carbide products (4 tons), electrodes (2 tons) and others.

As a result, the gas pipelines, as well as 2 gas distribution devices, which were damaged due to the flood, were restored to working condition and restored.

This made it possible to completely restore the supply of natural gas to 3,117 households located in the city of Pakhtaabad in Sardoba district, and 3,748 households in Akaltin districts, as well as 192 wholesale consumers operating in these areas.

In addition, a reserve of 223.7 tons of liquefied gas and 1000 cylinders for domestic gas was created in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of liquefied gas to the population evacuated as a result of the flood to other areas.
