Over 65,000 Electric Vehicles Registered in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 April 2025, a total of 65,200 electric vehicles (EVs) have been officially registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee.
The vast majority of EVs are concentrated in the capital, Tashkent, where 49,736 vehicles are registered — accounting for more than 76% of all electric cars in the country.
Tashkent Region ranks second with 4,512 registered EVs. It is followed by Samarkand Region with 1,739 vehicles, Khorezm with 1,415, Fergana with 1,376, and Kashkadarya with 1,338.
Bukhara Region has 1,133 electric vehicles on record, Navoi Region 901, Andijan 878, Namangan 700, the Republic of Karakalpakstan 525, Syrdarya Region 404, Jizzakh 302, and Surkhandarya Region 198.
