Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At 09:15 a.m. on 1 March 2022, another special aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways JSC arrived in Tashkent from the Polish city of Katowice with 258 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan evacuated from Ukraine.
As of 1 March, through the joint efforts of diplomatic missions and relevant departments of Uzbekistan, 509 people were returned to their homeland from Ukraine.
There are more than 650 people in the accumulation zone at the Karchova checkpoint, for whom all the necessary conditions have been created. For the evacuation of citizens, a series of additional flights is planned.
Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland deal with the problems of arriving citizens and coordinate their collection at the airport. The diplomatic mission has a round-the-clock operational headquarters.
