Over 423bn soums directed to development of educational institutions

About 29 new general educational schools were constructed in 2016 and 219 schools were reconstructed, while 136 schools were repaired, the Uzbek leader said.

He said that new modern campus for 2,200 educational places, sport complex and hotel for attraction of foreign specialists were constructed at the Uzbek State University of World Languages. New educational campus was constructed at Navoi State Mining Institute.

In the sphere of higher education, the regular training of teachers of the universities was introduced. Teachers retraining courses were launched at 15 basic schools. They already retrained about 2,700 teachers, he said.
