Over 37% of women in Uzbekistan marry before 20 years old

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to November 2024, a total of 246,979 marriages were registered, according to the Uzbekistan Statistics Agency.

An analysis of the age distribution of women who got married revealed the following:

Under 20 years old: 37.5% — a significant portion of women marry before the age of 20.

20-30 years old: 54.0% — the most common age range for marriage.

31-40 years old: 6.6% — a smaller portion of women marry in this age range.

41 years old and older: 1.9% — the smallest portion of women marry at 41 years or older.
