Over 349.1bn soums directed to modernization of enterprises

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Committee of Uzbekistan for Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition in cooperation with commercial bank, interested ministries and departments developed programmes on fincnail support and full load of capacities of enterprises with creation of new jobs.

The programme envisages to direct investments to about 952 enterprises in all regions of Uzbekistan to hold modernization and re-equipment of the capacities.

It is planned to attract over 711.4 billion soums of investments, including loans of commercial banks for over 471.4 billion soums.

As of 1 April 2013, about 349.1 billion soums of investments were directed to modernization and rehabilitation of capacities. The banks issued 245.6 billion soums to the programme.

The loans were used to purchase of modern technologies, equipment and spare parts for production of competitive products.

The enterprises, which were included to the programme, produced goods for 269.1 billion soums and exported products for US$6.9 million. Some 2,500 new jobs were created at these companies.
