Over 2.7 Million Uzbeks Traveled Abroad for Tourism Between January and May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to May 2025, a total of 2.7 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism purposes, according to data from the National Committee on Statistics.
This figure represents an increase of 574,100 people, or 26.4%, compared to the same period last year.
Among the most popular destinations during the first five months of 2025 was the Kyrgyz Republic, which welcomed 1,189,793 Uzbek citizens.
It was followed by Tajikistan with 501,657 visitors, Kazakhstan with 468,208, Saudi Arabia with 145,262, Russia with 124,829, Türkiye with 88,648, the United Arab Emirates with 71,352, Egypt with 30,479, Thailand with 16,555, and Vietnam with 15,802.
An additional 93,253 people traveled to other countries during the reporting period.
