Over 21,700 Uzbeks Repatriated Home as of 9 March
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 07:00 on 9 March, a total of 21,712 Uzbek citizens have returned to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The largest number of repatriates arrived from Saudi Arabia — 17,963 people, accounting for approximately 82.7% of the total returned. From the United Arab Emirates, 3,290 citizens returned, roughly 15.1%.
Repatriation also took place from other countries in the region. From Qatar, 378 people returned; from Iran, 47; from Bahrain, 27; and from Oman, 7 citizens.
Repatriation activities continue systematically and in stages. Currently, the process is primarily carried out from countries whose airspace remains open for civil aviation.
