Over 2,000 Uzbek Workers Sent to South Korea Since the Beginning of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Migration Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported that 45 citizens recently traveled to the Republic of Korea for temporary employment under the SPAS program.
All of them were registered in the SPAS electronic database of job seekers and selected directly by Korean employers.
It is noted that in 2025, the Republic of Korea conducted five selection rounds for the E-9 work visa.
From January 1, 2025, to January 19, 2026, a total of 2,143 Uzbek citizens went to South Korea for temporary work.
Deployment of new candidates selected under labor agreements signed with Korean employers in 2025 continues.
The Agency emphasized that candidate selection is carried out exclusively by Korean employers. Any third parties offering assistance for a fee are scammers.
Citizens are urged to report such cases immediately to the Agency via the Telegram bot @anticor_migrationbot, by email at anticorruption@migration.uz, or by phone at +998 71-202-44-11 during working hours from 09:00 to 18:00.
