Over 1,700 Uzbek Citizens Visited Qatar in January

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — More than 1,700 citizens of Uzbekistan traveled to Qatar in January 2026, according to newly released data from the National Statistics Committee.

Official figures indicate that a total of 1,741 Uzbek nationals departed for the Gulf state during the first month of the year. The vast majority of these trips were for leisure, with 1,619 individuals citing tourism as their primary purpose of travel.

The remaining visits were distributed across several categories: 95 citizens traveled to visit relatives, 22 for educational purposes, four for business assignments, and one individual sought medical treatment in Qatar.

The statistical trend highlights a sustained interest among Uzbek citizens in Qatar as a burgeoning destination for short-term travel and tourism.
