Over 16,800 citizens of Uzbekistan work in South Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Currently, 16,885 citizens of Uzbekistan are working in the Republic of Korea, head of the Agency of Labour Migration Ulugbek Nazarov said.
He recalled that a memorandum of understanding between Ministry of Labour of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Labour of South Korea was inked in 2006.
The document regulates sending workers from Uzbekistan to South Korea and it is updated each two years.
Within the memorandum, 25,543 citizens of Uzbekistan were sent to work to South Korea. Currently, 16,885 citizens of Uzbekistan are working in this country, he added.
