Over 125,000 Product Names Registered in Uzbekistan’s Digital Labeling System

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 October 2025, the National Catalog of Labeled Products has registered 125,100 product names, the Uzbek Tax Committee reports.

The digital labeling system involves 1,069 domestic manufacturers and 3,436 importers, reflecting the widespread adoption of product tracking technology in the market.

The highest activity is observed in Tashkent city, with 633 manufacturers and 2,423 importers. Tashkent region ranks second with 153 manufacturers and 292 importers, followed by Fergana region (52 manufacturers, 195 importers) and Samarkand region (78 manufacturers, 151 importers).

The lowest participation is recorded in Syrdarya (6 manufacturers, 27 importers), Navoi (9 and 27), and Jizzakh (9 and 20) regions.

The digital labeling system covers six main product categories. The greatest participation is seen in imported household appliances and pharmaceutical production.

In the category of pharmaceuticals and medical products, 368 domestic manufacturers and 922 importers are registered. Among importers, household appliances lead with 1,943 companies, while domestic producers number 307.

Participation in other categories is distributed as follows: water and soft drinks — 270 manufacturers, 363 importers; alcoholic products — 57 manufacturers, 86 importers; beer products — 47 manufacturers, 43 importers; tobacco products — 20 manufacturers, 79 importers.
