Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to plant more than 125 million mulberry, paulownia trees, fruit and decorative trees of fast-growing seedlings.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered to plant 55 million mulberry, paulownia, fruit and decorative trees of fast-growing seedlings along highways, along the perimeter of fields and in settlements.
Also, 70 million trees will be planted next spring.
The head of Uzbekistan instructed in September-December to plant 480 thousand trees along the main roads with a length of 1,300 km, and in the spring of next year - 330 thousand trees of plane trees, oak and other species.
By the end of this year, it was also instructed to plant 16 million fruit, ornamental and shrub trees in cities and regional centers, as well as in and around residential areas, business facilities, 42 million trees of mulberry, walnut and other trees.
It is planned to plant 53 million mulberry trees, ornamental and shrub trees around the fields and along the canals, as well as 3 million mulberry trees in forestry areas.
In the institutions of the Ministry of Defense, as well as in the forest areas around the Charvak reservoir and the village of Krasnogorsk, 500 thousand fruit, ornamental and shrub trees will be planted.
