Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1-2 March 2022, 677 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan were evacuated from Ukraine through the airport of Katowice (Poland) by three aircraft of Uzbekistan Airways.
As of 2 March 2022, the total number of citizens of Uzbekistan taken out by five flights from Ukraine through the territory of Poland amounted to 1,186 people.
Today, the organization of two evacuation flights is planned. The next special flight departed from Tashkent at 07:00, and the next one is scheduled for 10:00. Additional flights are under development.
There are more than 800 citizens of our country on the territory of Poland. Of these, about 350 people placed in the accumulation zone of the state border of Poland, and about 450 people are waiting for departure at the airport in Katowice.
The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine, despite the hostilities, continues to work on the evacuation of citizens of our country.
