Output of private farms reach 1.274trln soums in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The output of private farms of Uzbekistan in January-June 2009 was 1.274 trillion soums in the first six months of 2009 or grew by 1.5% year-on-year.

As of 1 July 2009, the number of cattle has increased by 13,500 (up 3.0%) in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year, including cows - by 5,300 (up 3.4%), sheep and goats - by 104,500 (up 10.7%), and poultry -645,900 (28.3%).

Agriculture output of Uzbekistan grew by 4.6% year-on-year in January-June 2009 to 4.985 trillion soums.

The committee said output of plant-growing was 2.657 trillion soums or increased by 3.1% year-on-year in the reporting period.
