OTS member countries are entering a new era in the development of Turkic civilization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An international conference dedicated to the results of the Samarkand OTS summit was held today in the capital.

Speaking at the first session of the event on the topic: “The Samarkand Declaration is a new impetus for the development of the integration of the Turkic states in modern geopolitical conditions”, Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Marton Szoberl emphasized that Turkic-speaking countries play an important role in Hungary’s strategy of “Opening to the East”, and Budapest, as an observer country, pays special attention to fruitful cooperation with all states of this Organization.

The expert separately noted that the OTS countries achieved significant success during the historic Samarkand summit. The adoption of the concept "Vision of the Turkic World-2040", the five-year Strategy of the Organization of Turkic States, the signing of the Samarkand Declaration, as well as the launch of the Turkic Investment Fund show that the Turkic countries are "entering a new era in the development of the Turkic civilization," the Hungarian expert stated.

As priority areas for Hungary in building up cooperation within the framework of the OTS, the director of the Hungarian Institute noted the strengthening of relations with all participants in this process, favoring the growth of the domestic economy by stimulating the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, strengthening trade relations, establishing the flow of goods from East to West and vice versa. Middle Corridor.

In this context, according to Marton Schoberl, Hungary considers the countries of Central Asia as a long-term and key partner.

As the Hungarian expert noted, each event and negotiations of the member countries and observers of the OTS clearly show that the format is developing in the right direction and the measures taken to enhance cooperation within the framework of the OTS are beginning to bear fruit and contribute to raising relations to a qualitatively new level.

The event, which was held with the online connection of foreign participants, was organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the International Institute of Central Asia.

More than 20 prominent representatives of the scientific, academic and analytical circles of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Hungary, as well as the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States took part in the conference.

The forum participants discussed the main results of the First OTS Summit in Samarkand on November 11 this year, including its significance, as well as important initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the event.
