Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 February 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Project Coordinator of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Uzbekistan, Ambassador Pierre von Arx.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE were discussed.

An exchange of views took place on the planned events, including an international conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the joint implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia, held on 3-4 March 2022 in Tashkent together with the OSCE and the UN Counter-Terrorism Office.

The mutual interest of the parties in the implementation of the projects outlined in the "Road Map" for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE was confirmed.

The parties exchanged views on the preparations for the forthcoming visit to Uzbekistan of the OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid in March this year.

The talks also considered certain issues of the regional and international agenda.
