OSCE ODIHR mission visits Supreme Court of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Needs Assessment Mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE ODIHR), headed by the Head of Election Department Alexander Shlyk visited Supreme Court of Uzbekistan.
It was noted that Uzbekistan accrued positive experience in holding democratic elections in line with international election standards.
The country improved election legislation on regular bases to strengthen guarantees of voting rights of the citizens.
At the meeting, the guests familiarized themselves with activities of Supreme Court, its formation, legal status and authorities, and other aspects of its work. The guests also received information on judicial-legal reforms in Uzbekistan.
