Order at Mass Ramadan Prayers to Be Maintained by 20,000 Employees of the Interior Ministry, National Guard, and Emergency Services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In connection with the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, tarawih prayers with mass participation will be held in mosques across all regions of Uzbekistan. This year, it is expected that both citizens and guests of the republic will take part in the prayers.

The first tarawih prayer is scheduled for the evening of February 18 after 20:30 and will take place in more than two thousand mosques across the country. Daily attendance is expected to reach approximately one million people.

To ensure security and maintain public order, law enforcement agencies have taken the necessary organizational measures.

About 20,000 employees from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, and the Emergency Situations Ministry will be involved in maintaining order.

Areas around the mosques are equipped with video surveillance cameras integrated into the Monitoring and Coordination Center of the Public Safety Department of the Interior Ministry.

On roads near the mosques, approximately 2,500 employees of the Road Patrol Service will be on duty. In coordination with local hokimiyats, temporary traffic restrictions will be applied on streets adjacent to mosques.

Concrete and metal barriers have been installed at mosque entrances, and separate parking zones have been organized at a distance of 150 meters.

More than 200 units of special equipment will be stationed near the sites to evacuate vehicles in case of emergencies. Patrol teams composed of employees of the Interior Ministry, National Guard, and community representatives will monitor parking areas and prevent theft.

Citizens are urged to follow the established rules, show mutual respect, and observe Ramadan in a manner that promotes peace and well-being.
