Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, by his resolution, appointed the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
By a presidential resolution on 29 January 2021, Olimkhon Rustamov was appointed Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Prior to his appointment, Olimkhon Rustamov worked as Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Previously, he held managerial positions in the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzbekneftegaz, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine State Enterprise and other departments and organizations.
The area of responsibility of Olimkhon Rustamov in his new position includes issues of attracting investments, effective monitoring of the implementation of investment projects, organizing the development of projects of state development programs and investment programs, including regional investment programs, as well as the implementation of comprehensive measures for the development of regions and free economic zones of the Republic.
Also, Olimkhon Rustamov is tasked with coordinating the sectoral development of the social sphere, tourism and the building materials industry.
