OIC mission holds talks with chairperson of Uzbek CEC
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A mission of observers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) led by director of political department of OIC Ali Abolhassani Shahrez held a meeting with the chairperson of the Central Election Commission Mirzo-Ulugbe Abdusalomov.
During the meeting, members of the mission familiarized with the work, conducted within the preparation and organization of the presidential elections.
It was noted that all election campaigns are conducted openly and transparently in line with the requirements of legislation and democratic principles.
OIC mission assesses process of preparation to the elections, way and results of elections to compliance to national legislation, international agreements and obligations of Uzbekistan.
After the obligation, the OIC mission will prepare the report and provide their assessment and complaints on organization of elections, as well as publish the statement after the end of voting.
