Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A draft law has been submitted for public discussion, which will establish administrative liability for officials who have violated the legislation on the openness of the activities of state authorities.
In particular, for non-public or incomplete publication of information subject to public publication, violation of the terms and procedure for publication or distortion of information, it is proposed to impose an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 3 to 5 basic estimated values.
If a similar offense is committed again within one year after the application of administrative penalties, it is planned that the fine will be from 5 to 10 basic estimated values.
The public discussion will last until 9 September 2021.
On 16 June, the President signed a decree (UP-6247), according to which the List of socially significant information to be placed as open data by all government authorities, including the Accounts Chamber, the Central Bank, courts, prosecutors and companies with state participation.
