Official Visit of Uzbekistan’s President to China Concludes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, on 3 September 2025, the intensive program of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the People’s Republic of China concluded.

On 31 August, in Tianjin, the Head of State, together with his spouse, participated in informal events of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held at the Meijiang Congress Center.

On 1 September, the President of Uzbekistan took part in the session of the SCO Council of Heads of State and in the “SCO Plus” meeting, where he proposed a number of initiatives aimed at deepening multilateral cooperation and improving the functioning of the organization.

On 2 September, in Beijing, negotiations were held with Chinese President Xi Jinping with the participation of official delegations. As a result of the meeting, a broad package of bilateral agreements was signed covering key areas of practical cooperation.

During the visit, a meeting was also held with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, where current bilateral issues were discussed, as well as negotiations with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, heads of foreign delegations, and representatives of Chinese business.

On 3 September, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the Victory Parade in Beijing, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Head of State departed for Tashkent, accompanied at the airport by high-ranking representatives of the People’s Republic of China.
