Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As previously reported, today the sixth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis is being held in the form of video conferencing. During the meeting, many topical issues are considered.

Before proceeding to the official part of the meeting, information was provided on making changes to the composition of the Senate Committee.

Recently, the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Healthcare Robakhon Anvarovna Makhmudova was elected First Deputy Chairperson of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Senator Odiljon Karimovich Iminov was elected to the post of the chairman of this Committee, who until that moment worked as the deputy chairman of the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms.

Odiljon Karimovich is a prominent scientist and professor. He conducts a fruitful work in the Senate. In particular, he successfully worked on committees on budget and economic reforms, agrarian, water management and environmental issues.

During the plenary session, it was expressed confidence that the activities of Mr. Iminov as chairman of the Committee on Science, Education and Healthcare will also be fruitful.
