Nutritionists from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan hold a live broadcast "Love Your Liver"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A live broadcast for the general public was held with the participation of nutritionist and fitness trainer Tatyana Allabergenova from Uzbekistan and nutritionist Ayala Konakbayeva from Kazakhstan on the topic of prevention and maintenance of liver health.

The event was initiated by Sanofi with the aim of raising awareness and drawing attention of the population to liver diseases, since in the modern world liver diseases are more common among people of different ages, but at the same time they can proceed with practically no symptoms. The liver has no nerve endings, which means that all uncomfortable and painful sensations arise only in the later stages of the disease. Therefore, prevention, timely examination and up-to-date knowledge are essential for the health and proper functioning of the liver.

Today, liver diseases, including acute viral hepatitis, claim nearly one and a half million lives - more than HIV, malaria or tuberculosis.

And while the liver has tremendous healing capacity, the most common causes of liver problems are genetic predisposition, the effects of medication, long-term exposure to toxic substances, infections and parasites, as well as poor diet and sedentary lifestyles.

As part of the live broadcast "Love Your Liver," experts shared information about the importance of measures to prevent liver diseases, practical advice on maintaining proper nutrition and maintaining physical activity, and also talked about the importance of supporting the environment in the transition to a healthier lifestyle.

Every year, Sanofi implements educational initiatives and social projects aimed at raising awareness and drawing attention to liver diseases.

“Our company strives to enable as many people as possible to live a healthy and energized life. Liver health is one of the important ingredients in achieving this goal. Today, despite therapeutic solutions and the availability of medicine, liver diseases reduce the quality of life for people. Therefore, increasing the level of awareness, knowledge about liver diseases, timely access to a doctor and the formation of the habit of regular preventive examinations is especially important,” said Sabina Alekperova, Head of Client Relations, Sanofi SNS Uzbekistan.
