Number of permanent population of Uzbekistan makes up 31.977 million people

The number of urban population was 16.181 million people (50.6% of the total number of population) and rural population – 15.796 million people (49.4%).

According to the committee, number of births was 532,400 in nine months of 2016. The birth rate was 22.4 pro mil (22.8 pro mil in 2015).

In the reporting period, the number of deaths was 108,900 and in comparison with January-September 2016. The death rate was 4.6 pro mil.

In the structure of total deaths cardiovascular diseases made up 59.4%, tumors – 8.9%, diseases of digestive organs – 5.9%, respiratory diseases – 5.2%, accidents, poisonings and traumas – 6.3%.

About 5,600 children died at the age under one year. The infant death rate was 10.1 pro mil. Out of the total number of children died at the age under one year 55.5% died of states occurring in perinatal period, 24.4% - respiratory diseases, 9.8% – congenital anomalies, and 3.1% - infectious and parasitic diseases.

About 176,100 marriages and 22,200 divorces were registered in nine months of 2016. There were 7.4 marriages and 0.9 divorces per 1000 population.

According to the preliminary data in January-September 2016, the number of immigrants was 106,500 persons and that of emigrants – 128,200 persons. Balance of migration was minus 21,700 persons (-23,100 people in 2015).
