Number of Enterprises with Foreign Investment in Uzbekistan Up 1.8 Times in Five Years

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The number of enterprises with foreign investment in Uzbekistan has increased 1.8 times over the past five years.

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of 1 October 2025, there were 17,188 enterprises with foreign investment operating in the country, including 4,134 joint ventures and 13,054 fully foreign-owned enterprises.

The largest number of enterprises were established with investors from China (4,570), Russia (3,150), and Türkiye (2,048).

The top ten also include Kazakhstan (1,165), the Republic of Korea (681), Afghanistan (616), the United Arab Emirates (377), Tajikistan (364), India (343), and the Kyrgyz Republic (339).

The growth in the number of foreign enterprises reflects the intensification of investment activity in Uzbekistan and the increasing interest of international businesses in the national economy.
