Nukus Receives First Electric Buses
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — To develop the public transport system in Nukus, the company Sapsan Trans Nukus from China delivered 12 electric buses to the city, with a total cost of 24 billion soums, according to the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Following the president’s directive, a total of 200 buses are planned for the Karakalpakstan capital. Work is currently underway to purchase and deliver specialized vehicles to expand the city’s transport fleet.
In addition, Sapsan Trans Nukus is constructing a new bus depot with a capacity of 200 vehicles, which will significantly improve the efficiency and comfort of urban transportation.
