Nuclear energy workers to be regularly certified

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 13 from 10 January 2022 approved the Regulation on the procedure for training, retraining, advanced training and certification of employees of operating organizations and other legal entities operating in the field of atomic energy use.

The regulation stipulates:

- terms, procedures for training and retraining of employees of operating organizations and other legal entities, as well as organizations implementing them;

- the procedure, terms, types of certification and categories of workers subject to certification;

- formation and organization of the activities of the certification commission;

- rules for appealing and revising the certification results. 

The State Industrial Safety Committee was instructed to ensure the centralized formation and maintenance of a database for certification and advanced training of employees of operating organizations and other legal entities operating in the field of atomic energy use.

Periodic certification of employees is carried out in the following terms:

- heads, chairmen and deputy chairmen of certification commissions of operating organizations and other legal entities - once every five years;

- employees engaged in the implementation of departmental (production) control over the nuclear and radiation safety of operating organizations and other legal entities, technological processes in the field of atomic energy use, accounting and control of nuclear materials and radioactive substances, transporting substances or products based on them, as well as members certification commissions - once every three years;

- the rest of the engineering and technical and other workers - once a year.
