Nodirbek Abdusattorov Wins Prague Masters
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 March, the international chess festival Prague Masters concluded in Prague, Czech Republic, with Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov emerging as the tournament champion.
After 9 rounds, Abdusattorov scored 6 points, including a victory over the reigning World Champion, Gukesh D.
For much of the tournament, Dutch grandmaster Jorden van Foreest led the standings, but defeats in the final two rounds cost him first place, allowing Abdusattorov to claim the title.
This marks Abdusattorov’s second Prague Masters victory, having previously won the prestigious tournament in 2024.
The win is also his second major triumph in 2026, following his earlier victory at the Tata Steel Chess Tournament.
Abdusattorov is currently ranked 4th in the world, with a live rating of 2780.3.
