Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The largest scientific and educational event in Central Asia, the Nobel Festival will be held from 26 to 29 October 2021 under the key theme "The future is today." An open broadcast of discussions and lectures with world stars of science, business and innovators will be held for the whole world from studios in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the III Nobel Festival, a traditional series of lectures from the Nobel Prize Laureates in innovation, chemistry, physics, cosmology, economics will be held.
This time the festival will officially broadcast from the studios of three countries: Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, as well as exclusively at the sites of regional partner universities.
In Uzbekistan, the organizing partner of the event was the Foundation for the Development of Science and Education "Ziyo Forum":
- For students, this event is the starting point of their career in science, motivation to continue their studies in the chosen direction and reach Nobel heights. Now we have agreed on the active participation of representatives of six top universities in the country, including regional ones, in rebroadcasts and studios. We plan to attract about 1000 students of the capital’s universities, young people who actively participate in the volunteer movement and projects of the fund to the Ziyo Forum site, where the studio will be located, - said the director of the fund Bobur Farmanov.
This year, stars such as Yuval Noah Harari, world historian and author of the bestselling book Sapiens: A Brief History of Humanity, Jane Goodall, an influential conservationist and UN Ambassador for Peace, Jonathan Medved, the father of Israel’s startups, Garrick Hilleman, world expert on cryptocurrencies and many others will make speeches for Central Asian youth. Together with them, the festival will be attended by professors of the most prestigious universities in the world: London School of Economics, MIT, University of California, Imperial College London, University of Washington, as well as leaders and leading experts from major international corporations: Microsoft, Google, SAP, Chevron, Coca- Cola and others.
For universities, conducting lectures from Nobel laureates is a unique opportunity to receive an exclusive lecture by the Nobel laureate, include the famous laureate as a university lecturer and strengthen their position in world rankings.
Founded in 2020, Nobel Fest annually brings together dozens of Nobel Prize laureates, winners of the prestigious Breakthrough Prize (also known as the Science Oscar), as well as hundreds of executives from major corporations and leaders of international organizations. Since last year, the Coca-Cola Company has been supporting the Nobel Festival as a friend and partner.
