Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As previously reported, for the convenience of passengers, in order to reduce the time for verification procedures when boarding trains of O’ztemiryo’lyo’lovchi joint-stock company, the introduction of modern technologies for checking electronic travel documents with special readers of QR codes has begun.
The day before, the purchased equipment began testing on one of the Afrosiyob trains. The introduction of this technology will expand the range of services without going to ticket offices. A passenger who has issued an electronic travel document does not need to print it in A4 format. Now it will be enough to present an electronic travel document on mobile devices and smartphones. The controlling employees of the checkpoint, as well as the carriage conductors, using special devices will verify the authenticity of the electronic travel document, and the passenger can land at his place on the train.
Currently, two readers at checkpoints and ten at one of the Afrosiyob trains will be used in test mode at the Tashkent-Central railway station. In the future, similar technologies will be introduced at all stations of the country.
The test mode will last until the end of March and O’ztemiryo’lyo’lovchi will inform additionally before putting it into trial operation.
