On 24 September, a stampede among Muslim worshipers near the Saudi holy city of Mecca left more than 700 people dead, the Saudi Civil Defense Department said.
The Uzbek committee said that according to data of the working group, providing services to pilgrims from Uzbekistan, during the incident Uzbek pilgrims were returning from Muzdalifah valley to Mina. No Uzbek citizens of Uzbekistan suffered in the result of the accident.
All Uzbek pilgrims are healthy and continuing to carry out pilgrimage, the committee underlined.
At least 717 people were killed, and 863 were injured, in a stampede near Mecca, the Saudi Civil Defense Department said.
