NLDB receives status of official source for publishing of legal documents

National Legislation Database (NLDB) – lex.uz – received an official source of publishing legal documents in Uzbekistan.
On 23 September 2016, Shavkat Mirziyayev signed a law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan”.
Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 22 August 2016 and Senate approved the document on 25 August 2016.
The law amended “On normative-legal acts” and “On Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan”.
The law is directed at developing national information system and improving legal culture of the citizens of Uzbekistan.
According to the amendments, NLDB received the status of official source of legal information. This should improve efficient of law enforcement and access of population to legal documents.
