Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan held talks with Takayuki Murakawa, General Manager of NIPPON STEEL, Tomohira Kagami, Assistant General Manager of Sumitomo Electric, and Hideaki Kitamura, Assistant Manager.
During the meeting, representatives of the companies NIPPON STEEL and Sumitomo Electric presented an electric cable developed according to a new technology, which makes it possible to reduce the loss of electrical energy during its transmission. Manufactured using new technologies and a specially designed core by NIPPON STEEL, the cable, in comparison with existing analogues, can reduce power losses during transmission by 15-25%, increase strength, reduce diameter and ensure a service life of up to 40 years.
Developed two types of electrical cables can be installed: on existing poles - the first type (LL-ACSR/AS), on new special poles - the second type (LL-TACSR/AS). According to the calculations presented by the companies, the payback of installing an electric cable with a voltage of 220 kV at a distance of 100 km is achieved for a cable of the LL-ACSR / AS brand in 5 years, for a cable of the LL-TACSR / AS brand in 6 years.
Representatives of NIPPON STEEL and Sumitomo Electric expressed their interest in establishing cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, National Electric Networks JSC, Thermal Power Plants JSC, Energosetproekt design institute and construction companies of the republic in the design and construction of power transmission lines with using the developed technology.
Following the results of the negotiations, representatives of NIPPON STEEL and Sumitomo Electric expressed a request to establish cooperation with the Ministry of Energy, National Electric Networks JSC, Thermal Power Plants JSC, Energosetproekt Design Institute.
