Nine killed in Uzbekistan Defense Ministry helicopter crash
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A helicopter Mi-171 of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan crashed in Ferghana region, eastern Uzbekistan, on 18 October.
According to the Uzbek Defense Ministry, the helicopter was conducting planned flight. In the result of the accident, three members of crew and six servicemen on board were killed.
Special commission was created to investigate reasons behind the air catastrophe.
Leadership of Uzbekistan expresses deep condolences to relatives and friends of the victims, the statement of the Uzbek Defense Ministry said.
