Nikol Pashinyan not to take part in the SCO summit in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not take part in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Samarkand due to the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, the press service of the Armenian Cabinet said.

“Due to the current situation on the border, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not take part in the SCO summit in Samarkand,” the press service said.

Earlier, the prime minister said that Armenia was ready to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan only if he leaves its sovereign territories.

On the night of 13 September, hostilities began on the border of the two countries. The parties blamed each other for the aggravation of the situation - Yerevan announced the shelling of the southeastern border, and Baku accused the neighbor of mining supply routes.
