Night Tourist Bus Routes to Launch in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Night bus routes will soon be launched in Tashkent to connect the capital’s main tourist streets. The decision was approved by the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies on 3 September.

According to the resolution, the transport will operate under a gross contract system, with fares set at the same level as existing city public transport tariffs.

The buses will meet modern standards: equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, video surveillance, and adapted for passengers with disabilities.

The Tashkent Tourism Department, together with the Department for Transport Infrastructure Development, has been tasked with actively informing residents and visitors about the new routes through the media, official websites, and social networks.

Oversight of the implementation has been assigned to the Council’s standing commission on construction, utilities, ecology, industry, and transport, as well as to deputy mayors of the capital.
