New Zoo opens in Ferghana

Zoo was created within implementation of the governmental resolution “On approval of the concept on development of Tashkent Zoo for 2016-2020”. Zoo is the branch of Tashkent Zoo.

Territory of Zoo is about 5 hectares. Open-air cages for hoofed and carnivorous mammals, waterfowl and birds of prey were constructed here. Monkeys, snakes, lizards and ornamental birds are living in Exotarium.

Tashkent Zoo provided some 65 various individuals of 29 species to Ferghana Zoo. Lions and tigers, bears and Canadian wolf, hoofed animals, two species of monkeys and cynomolgus monkeys lapunder, gulls, cormorants, peacocks, guinea fowl, reticulated python and monitor lizard and other animals were transferred to Fergana zoo.

There are café and children attractions in the zoo. There are benches for rest in the zoon. The fountain was constructed here.
