Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of a new enterprise for the production of plastic doors and frames in the city of Nukus.

The project was implemented in the Zhana Bazaar mahalla on an area of 4 hectares, construction work was completed for US$2 million. Installed modern equipment, engineering communications. The enterprise is capable of producing 270 thousand square meters of doors and frames per year. 230 people work here, mostly young people.

The head of state got acquainted with the technological process, examined the products of the enterprise.

The khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent is assigned to the city of Nukus. City development drivers are the food industry and the building materials industry, tourism. With this in mind, a program for the integrated socio-economic development of Nukus in 2022 was developed. It provides for the implementation of 10 projects totaling 1 billion 361 million soums. As a result, 3,000 jobs will be created.

The President also visited the construction site of a new housing complex on the territory of the Zheke Terek mahalla. It is planned to build five 16-storey buildings here. The construction of the first house is underway.

In this complex, building structures of a new type will be used. The external walls will be made of three layers, which will ensure the optimal temperature in the houses in winter and summer. The apartments will be fully renovated and equipped with modern equipment.
