New Swiss envoy holds talks at Uzbekistan’s MFA

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Ambassador handed over copies of credentials.

During the meeting, the sides considered current state and perspectives of development of the Uzbek-Swiss dialogue, actual international and regional issues.

Trade-economic and investment cooperation are key component of bilateral relations. The sides accrued positive experience of interaction in this area.

Currently, some 91 enterprises with Swiss capital operate in Uzbekistan. Both sides are expressing interest in implementation of new projects in such areas as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, machinery, electrotechnical products, textile, food and others.

At the meeting, the sides considered issues of expansion of contacts among educational and healthcare institutions of two states.
