New standard of digital TV launched in Ferghana region

Launch of digital television broadcasting in Ferghana region was carried out in line with the presidential resolution “On state programme on technical and technological transfer to digital television in Uzbekistan” from 17 April 2012.

According to the center currently the signal of the digital TV covers all districts of Ferghana region. The signals transmitted from Ferghana and Qoqand cities, as well as Sokh district.

In May 2015, the DVB-T2 standard was launched in Ferghana, which have opportunity to broadcast 16 SD television channels.

Special tuner is needed to watch digital television of DVB-T2 standard. Telecom Innovation in Navoi region of Uzbekistan is producing such tuners.

Currently, the citizens of Ferghana region can watch such channels as O’zbekiston, Yoshlar, Sport, Navo, Kinoteatr, Bolajon, Dunyo Bo’ylab, Madaniyat va Ma’rifat, Diyor, Oilaviy, Mahalla, Farg’ona and UzHD.
