New rectors appointed to three Uzbek universities

Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Abdulrahim Abdushukurov was appointed as the rector of National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek.

At this post, he will replace Shukhrat Sirojiddinov, who became a rector of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature of Alisher Navoi, created by presidential decree from 13 May 2016.

Prior to appointment Abdulrahim Abdushukurov worked as dean of Mechanic-Mathematical Faculty of National University of Uzbekistan.

Bakhodir Hodiev was appointed as rector of Tashkent State Economic University, replacing Mahmudjon Boltabaev at this post.

Earlier, Bakhodir Hodiev worked as Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of Complex on the issues of Youth policy, education, culture and sport.
