New public transport fare tariffs to be introduced in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 January 2025, new fare tariffs for public transport in Tashkent will come into effect. The decree introducing the changes was signed by the city’s mayor, Shavkat Umurzakov.
The cost of a single journey will be 3,000 soums; however, passengers who pay via the electronic system will receive a discount, and the ticket price will be reduced to 1,700 soums. Baggage transportation will cost 4,000 soums.
For passengers paying through travel packages based on the number of trips, the cost per ride will be 1,600 soums.
From 1 January 2025, cash payments will be fully discontinued for bus rides in Tashkent. To purchase a single ticket, passengers will need to use terminals at bus stops such as Paynet, MultiPay, or Oson. All buses will be equipped with devices to scan electronic tickets.
Tariffs for eligible passengers will remain unchanged, and discounted transfers within one hour will continue.
