Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved a new procedure for accounting and controlling the production, bottling, storage, and wholesale sale of consumer and technical ethyl alcohol, as well as alcoholic beverages, under Resolution No. 45 from 29 January 2025. The new regulations set clear rules and requirements for producers and wholesalers in the sector.

The resolution mandates the compulsory accounting of produced ethyl alcohol and alcoholic beverages, as well as their storage, transportation, and sale. Special attention is given to strict control over the production, bottling, and storage processes. Products must be fully controlled at all stages, from the receipt of raw materials to their placement in warehouses and subsequent sale.

Notably, the resolution prohibits the production of alcoholic beverages using foreign-made consumer and technical ethyl alcohol. This measure aims to ensure quality control and support the development of domestic production.

The new procedure also requires detailed accounting of the volume of alcohol and alcoholic beverage production, ensuring transparency in all processes within the industry.
