New Procedure Approved for Selecting Conscripts for Service in the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a regulation that governs the procedure for selecting citizens subject to conscription for mandatory military service and training in military-technical specialties in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the document, each conscript has the right to participate in the selection process no more than once per year. The selection procedure is conducted from August 10 of the year preceding the year of conscription until February 10 of the conscription year.
During the selection, each candidate undergoes an individual interview to assess their motivation and readiness for military service, check for any administrative or criminal records, evaluate health status, education level and knowledge, family situation, and other relevant circumstances that may influence the decision.
Physical fitness evaluation is based on performance standards in pull-ups, running 100 meters, and running 3000 meters.
Following the review of all information, a conclusion is issued with a recommendation or without recommendation for further mandatory military service.
